This study was conducted at pesantren/madrasah in province of Yogyakarta, Indonesia’s smalletst provinece however with the largest higher education institutions per square metre. The findings are as totally prohibition of gadget in a boarding school could be compensated by providing libraries, newspaper, information provided by the boarding school management and computer including internet facilitiese albeit their usage are limited.
